Bishop Hendricken had lost four tennis matches in a row before a win over Westerly on Wednesday. The Hawks couldn’t make it two straight wins, though, as they lost 6-1 to East Greenwich in Thursday’s season finale to finish 5-7.
Against Westerly, the Hawks posted a 7-0 sweep. Christian Boyer, Jordan Carvalhal, Adeeb Komari and Alexander Boyer had singled victories. The Hawks won the three doubles matches by forfeit.
Playoff-bound East Greenwich had too much for the Hawks on Thursday as it swept the singles matches. Peter Cienki and Christian Kirby gave Hendricken a win at No. 3 doubles. Above, Adeeb Komari hits a forehand during Wednesday’s match. (Warwick Beacon photos by William Geoghegan)
