Helen G. (Winman) Nelson, 95, of Warwick, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Terrence Nelson.
Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Conley) Winman. Mrs. Nelson drove special education buses for the Warwick School Department for over 20 years before retiring.
She is survived by one daughter Ginnie Nelson, one son Terrence Nelson and his wife, Sandy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; one brother Richard Winman; one sister Irene Dryden. She was the mother of the late Helen Russell and Irene Schenck; sister of the late Charles Winman, Marion Huebbers and Marguerite Olivestro.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Burial will be private.
