“Hello Broadway! 2016,” a revue of the best of Broadway music from new and favorite musicals, will be performed in the Bobby Hackett Theater at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Knight Campus in Warwick Friday to Sunday.

An ensemble of local college students will join a professional cabaret act for performances from “Anything Goes,” “The King and I” and “Motown the Musical,” as well as a segment titled “Millennium Showstoppers” featuring songs from musicals opening after 2000. The closing segment of the show is a special celebration in song of the career of Rhode Island-born George M. Cohan.

Performances are scheduled at 2 and 8 p.m. Friday, June 24; 8 p.m. Saturday, June 25; and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26.

The show’s mentors, who perform as a professional cabaret act called Two of Hearts, are Dr. Audrey Kaiser and Carol B. Lyon of Warwick.

Kaiser, associate professor of music at CCRI and creator of “Hello Broadway!” at the college, will produce and direct. Kaiser has toured the United States for more than 25 years performing, arranging and recording. She conceived, directed and performed four original musical revues for the Granite Theatre in Westerly and performed with Downtown at the Newport Grand Slots in Newport. She also has performed extensively as both a solo and collaborative concert pianist including performances with David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Alice Ripley, Tony Award-winning actress. Kaiser performed in 2012 as piano soloist with the combined Warwick and Fall River Symphony orchestras.

Lyon provides the student cast with vocal coaching in the musical theater style. Her training includes New York coaching with Marty Lawrence of the Metropolitan Opera Company and Joe Sherman, arranger for Nat King Cole. For 25 years, Lyon performed throughout the United States and on cruise lines with Two of Hearts. She is also a partner in KaiserLyon Tunes, a publishing company registered with BMI for which she was written numerous original songs and comedy skits.

Teresa Rath Pearson of Warwick, a freelance choreographer and dance therapist, joins the production team this year as choreographer.
