This weekend Bishop Hendricken’s Summer Stage presents the Broadway musical “Legally Blonde,” featuring high school performers from throughout the state. The musical is based on the movie of the same name, and tells the story of Elle Woods, a Malibu girl who goes from tanning to textbooks and heads to Harvard Law School. Director of the Arts at Hendricken Richard Sylvia serves as the show’s musical director, and former director of the arts Brian Cordeiro is back to direct. Teresa Pearson choreographed the show, which includes peppy numbers that incorporate hip-hop and cheer-dance. The show runs this weekend only at Hendricken with performances Thursday, July 26, Friday, July 27, Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. They may be purchased online at www.hendricken.com or by calling the box office at 739-3450 x172.
