The Toll Gate hockey team is beginning to make some noise on the Division II scene.

After losing its two previous D-II games to front-runners Coventry and Cumberland, the Titans took care of business with two victories over the weekend.

Toll Gate knocked off PCD/Wheeler/St. Ray's 5-4 on Friday, then went on to beat North Smithfield 3-1 on Saturday. With the wins, the Titans improved to 4-5-1 overall, which puts them in fourth place in D-II-North with nine points.

Kevin Vittum, Steven Matthews and Dylan Russo each scored twice over the weekend to lead the charge.

Now, the Titans will try to prove they really belong in the upper echelon of the division. This weekend, they'll look to make a statement against second-place Pilgrim on Saturday at Thayer Arena at 8 p.m.
