Two students at St. Rose of Lima School excelled at the Rhode Island History Day Fair, hosted at Providence College on Saturday, April 9. All of the school’s seventh grade students had to research various topics and give classroom presentations, competing in a schoolwide competition for a chance to present at History Day. Bryan Sciamacco (left) created a documentary on the American Revolution’s Battle of Bunker Hill. He went on to receive fourth place in his category. Aidan Flanagan (right) won first place for his individual live performance portrayal of Isaac Newton, the renowned scientist of the scientific revolution in the early 18th century. As a first place winner, Flanagan will travel to the University of Maryland in June to participate in National History Day. (Photo courtesy of Steven Andolfo)
