Horace S. Garganta, 85, died March 16, 2014.
Born in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts, a son of the late Manuel and Maria Louise (Souza) Garganta. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was the father of Ronald, Richard and Roger Garganta, and the late Robert and Carol Garganta; brother of Natalie Furtado, Esmeralda “Esther” Costa, the late Mary Beck, Alvaro, Manuel, Antone, Arnold, Mario, and Daniel Garganta.
A celebration of life gathering will occur on Saturday, March 22, from 9-10 a.m. at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. At 10 a.m. there will be a brief service followed by a burial with military honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
