Annual enrollment period for Medicare plans begins Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7. During this time, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will host free meetings to educate individuals about their options for Medicare. These meetings are ideal for individuals who want to learn more about the general Medicare process.

The enrollment period is the only time of the year when individuals can enroll in or switch Medicare plans.  It also is an opportunity to learn about the range of options available from BCBSRI. The next area meeting will be held Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at The Villa, 272 Cowesett Avenue, West Warwick.
