All high school and mature middle school males of the New England area are invited to participate in the annual Young Men's Choral Festival (YMCF), sponsored by Providence Singers, Rhode Island College, Bishop Hendricken School and Warwick Vets High School.
YMCF is full-day event of choral workshops (vocal, movement and rhythm) ending with a closing concert and reception Jan. 30, 2015 from 1-8 p.m. on the campus of Rhode Island College.
This year's clinician is the Director of Choral Activities at Harvard University, Andrew Clark. Registration deadline is Jan. 9. Tuition is $20 (includes sheet music, t-shirt, food and necessary supplies).
The closing concert is free and open to the public. Music teachers are welcome to participate as an observer for continuing education credit. More information and registration form can be found at www.providencesingers.org. Contact Jenica Reed at jreed@providencesingers.org or 751-5700.
