J. Robert Greco, 77, of Seaside Dr., Jamestown, formerly of Warwick, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday evening, Sept. 22, 2014. He was the husband of Marie C. (Gilbertie) Greco, they had been married for 54 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late John and Lillian (Polselli) Greco. He resided in Warwick for many years before moving to Jamestown 12 years ago. Mr. Greco was the owner of Harcourt Knitting Co and president of Band-Age, Inc. for many years before retiring. He was a graduate of Bryant University and was a Certified Public Accountant. He served with the RI Air National Guard in Celle, Germany during the Berlin crisis, was a 30 year member of Potowomut Golf Club and a 16 year volunteer with the RIPGA course rating team.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, John T. Greco, Robert D. Greco and Karen M. Hitte; five grandchildren, Katie, Jackie, Sofia, Jessie and Marco; and a sister, Norma Conti. He was the brother of the late Lila Robinson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the Henault-Gallogly Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick.
