Jade Dragon Restaurant: For a quick escape from this never-ending winter

Posted

It feels as though this winter will never end. Snow. Ice. Slush. More snow. And the unrelenting cold. Winter surely has its grip on us, and many are feeling the stress of it all. If there ever was a time when a hot, steamy platter of fried rice, sautéed vegetables, crunchy egg rolls and some chicken chow mein would provide much-needed relief, it would be right now! If you are sick of this winter, then come in today to Jade Dragon, the cozy, welcoming and familiar restaurant on Warwick Avenue where these appetizing foods are served up every day. Better yet, why not call for delivery?

Jade Dragon Restaurant has been the home of delicious and affordable Chinese cuisine for twenty-one unbroken years. Over those years, it has accrued a long list of devoted patrons, many of whom have been fans of owners Judy and Rickie Chin for all of those twenty-one years. Most diners come from the surrounding neighborhoods, but others have literally returned here from homes across the country to eat at this favorite restaurant of their childhoods - Jade Dragon. If there ever was a Chinese "Cheers" - you know, the kind of place "where everyone knows your name" - it is here.

At Jade Dragon, you will find many enticing dinner entrées as well as a long list of finger-licking-good appetizers (egg rolls, crab Rangoon, chicken teriyaki, fantail shrimp, scallion pancakes, beer battered onion rings - yummy!) Their extensive and delicious menu includes both popular Chinese food options and many "American Style" favorites such as Broiled Delmonico Steak and Fish & Chips (some flock here just for the Chicken Club sandwich!).

Enjoy one of their 38 different combination platters, their tantalizing appetizers or their Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Chop Suey and Egg Foo Yong options as well as a huge assortment of poultry, beef, seafood and Moo Goo Gai Pan selections to choose from. If you are a vegetarian, you will not be disappointed by their varied list of vegetable and bean curd choices either. There is literally something for everyone here, including a full-service bar where diners often come to linger over one of Judy's many refreshing cocktail creations.

You will also find that everything here is made to Chef Rickie's strict standards of freshness and flavor, with special care to keep things light and healthy. Chef Rickie also cooks up several meals that contain no soy or wheat products.
