Jeremiah M. “Jerry” Carpenter

Jeremiah M. “Jerry” Carpenter, age 81, of 1811 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, died on Monday, December 28, 2015, at home. He was the husband of the late Mildred A. (Allen) Carpenter.

Born in Warwick, a son of the late Clarence A. and Edith K.(Grube) Carpenter, he was a life-long Warwick resident. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Carpenter was employed by the Warwick Public Schools as a custodian for 25 years before retiring.

He is survived by three daughters, Linda A. Wyatt and her husband, Robert A. Wyatt, Sr. of Erial, NJ, Dianne M. Brown and Maureen E. St. Jacques, both of Warwick; two sisters, Genevieve C. Dyer of Warwick and Barbara M. Devoe in Connecticut; and seven grandchildren: Robert Wyatt, Jr., Michael Wyatt, Erin Shields and her husband, Eric, Kerry St. Jacques, Sean St. Jacques, Megan St. Jacques, and John Brown; and two great-grandsons. He was the brother of the late Clarence A. Carpenter, Jr. and Edith F. Tinagero.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 2, in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be private.
