Joan F. Dennis, 60 formerly of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed peacefully on May 16, 2013 at her home in Henderson, Nevada. She was the wife of Richard J. Dennis, whom she met on Oct. 5, 1967, for 41 years.
Born in and residing in Warwick for more than 40 years, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth A (Barnes) Read, and Edward F Read. She spent most of her younger years in Oakland Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; two sons: Richard Dennis Jr. of Bakersfield California and Bryan Dennis of Boulder Colorado; and her very special grandchildren: Katelyn & Justin Dennis of Bakersfield Calif. Also survived by her brothers: Ken Read of Coventry, RI, Ed Read of Warwick, RI, and her sister Linda (Ozenkoski) Read of Exeter RI. In addition, her many nieces, nephews; cousins; and long standing friends.
There will be a Memorial gathering on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Michelle’s (formerly Marley’s on the Beach), 885 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick, RI. Friends of the family are welcome from 1pm on.
