John ‘Jack’ James Conway Jr., 67, of Warwick, passed away Sunday, April 24th, surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was the son of the late John J and Katherine (Smith) Conway. He was a graduate of Johnston High School and Roger Williams University, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He earned an honorary degree from Brown University in clinical interviewing medicine. Jack held positions with a number of companies during the course of his career. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed scuba diving, and loved spending time with his beloved German Shepherds, Jaeger and Bear. He and his wife loved to travel and play golf, but most especially enjoyed spending time with their children and family.

He leaves his loving wife Jane (Berghman); six children: his daughter Kimberly Mairs of Boston, MA and Newport, daughter Allison Mairs of Warwick, daughter Stephanie (Mairs) Chmura and her husband, Paul of Wilbraham, MA, son Robert Mairs and his wife, Katherine of Portsmouth, son John J. Conway III of Warwick, daughter Jamie (Conway) Twesten and her husband, Nick of North Kingstown; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as three nephews and extended family whom he loved dearly. One of two children, he is survived by one sister, Kathy of Charlestown.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Jack on Monday, May 2nd at 10 a.m. at St Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road Warwick. Burial will follow at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery 6365 Post Road North Kingstown. Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 1st 2pm-6pm at Hill Funeral Home 822 Main Street East Greenwich
