John Joseph Stinson, 70, of Smithfield Avenue, North Providence, RI died Monday, August 29, 2016 in Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Mary R. Stinson. John was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War assigned to the 107th Signal Company. He worked at Bradford Soap Works in West Warwick, RI for more than 20 years before retiring.
He leaves a daughter Lisa Hunter and her husband, Kenneth and two grandsons: Travis and Kennan Hunter of North Kingstown, RI. He was the father of the late John Earl Stinson.
Funeral will be private. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
