Joseph F. Kendrick, age 76, formerly of Longmeadow Avenue, Warwick, died on February 25, 2013 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Shea) Kendrick.
Born in Moosup, Connecticut, a son of the late Joseph and Julia (Czprynna) Kendrick, he lived in Warwick for 30 years. Mr. Kendrick was a retired teacher. He was an active parishioner at St. Kevin Church in Warwick, and a member of Warwick Council # 2295 Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary K. Wienholts and her husband, Eric of Wyoming, Ohio, a son, Edward Kendrick and his, wife Judith of Pineville, Louisiana; two sisters, Arlene Vuono of Kensington, Maryland and Olga Coleman of East Greenwich; and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Fred Kendrick.
His funeral will be held on Friday, March 1, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Kevin Church.
