Depending on weather and system demand conditions, Kent County Water Authority will conduct hydrant flushing in portions of West Greenwich, East Greenwich and Warwick now through May 22 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Warwick area affected is from the East Greenwich town line to Route 113 between Route 2 and the bay.
Customers may experience some discolored water and lower than normal water pressure during this period. Those who experience discoloration, should run cold water for a short time to clear this up. Field crews will monitor conditions during the hydrant flushing.
If any customers have concerns during this flushing period, call the Kent County Water Authority at 821-9300.
