Kerri Ann Marks and Jason Anthony Soscia have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Frank and Debra (Gutierres) Marks of Chepachet. She is a graduate of Ponaganset High School. She is a certified ophthalmic technician.

The groom-to-be is the son of Anthony and Patricia (Iadevaia) Soscia of Cranston. He is a graduate of Cranston High School West and New England College of Optometry. He is an optometrist.

Jason surprised Kerri with a proposal last summer aboard a cruise of the eastern Caribbean. They are planning a September 2, 2012 wedding with a relaxing honeymoon on an island south of the Caribbean sea.
