Kiriakos “Chuck” Syintsakos

Kiriakos “Chuck” Syintsakos, 88, died March 4, 2014. He was the husband of the late Marie (Previte) Syintsakos.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Alexandros and Margaret (Janikakis) Syintsakos, he has been a resident of Warwick since 1967, formerly residing in Providence. Chuck had worked as a sales representative for the former Banner Auto Sales and Jasco Aluminum. He was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II and Korea and was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, Wanskuck, where he served as past commander and the VFW Post #272 in Warwick.

He is survived by a son, Gregory C. Syintsakos and his wife, Denise, and daughter, Kim S. Dubs; grandfather of Susan Silva, Michelle Delgado, and Alexandra Dubs; great-grandfather of Dylan G., Isabella R. Delgado and DJ Silva; brother of the late George Lekas, Peter Syintsakos, Evangello Lalkas, Theodore Syintsakos, Constantino Syintsakos, Carolyn Mottola, Chrisanty Melisotte, Ann Sparks, Catherine Santosuosso and Ellen Kostakos.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a funeral service at 12 noon in the Church of the Annunciation, Oaklawn Ave. Cranston. Burial, with military honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m.
