LeRoy F. Smith, Jr., 86, of Warwick passed away on January 29, 2016 at Kent Regency. He was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (McKeever) Smith.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late LeRoy F. Smith, Sr. and Marion F. (Angell) Smith. Mr. Smith was a Customer Service Representative for Narragansett Electric Co. until his retirement. He served in the RI National Guard and called to active duty during the Korean War and worked as a civilian employee at the RI National Guard for many years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He was the loving uncle of several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the Foster Father of the late Louis V. Mead.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Pocasset Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
