Leon Gorgizian, 68, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Home & Hospice Care of RI. He was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (Lekarcyk) Gorgizian.
He was a son of the late Suren Gorgizian and Raisa Badard. Leon was a veteran of the Navy Seabees from 1965 to 1991. He served during Vietnam, Lebanon, Granada and the Persian Gulf Wars. Leon also was employed as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of VFW Post #272, Wm. Shields American Legion Post #43, and the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Co.
He was the father of Eric Gorgizian, and the late Shawn Gorgizian; brother of Arsen, George, and William Gorgizian, Janet Gibbs, and the late Michael Gorgizian.
His funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Information and condolences, visit QuinnFuneralHome.com
