Male suspect robs Coastway Community Bank on Post Road

The Warwick Police responded to a bank robbery at the Coastway Community Bank, 3830 Post Road, at 9:48 am on June 16, 2015.

The preliminary investigation has disclosed that the suspect entered the bank alone, at approximately 9:45 am and demanded money from two tellers. The suspect fled on foot south on Post Road. The suspect is described as a white male, believed to be in his late forties or early fifties, approximately 5’7”, slender build, wearing a black baseball hat, camouflage mask, sunglasses, black gloves, a dark blue or black jacket, believed to be “The North Face” brand, blue jeans, and sneakers. The suspect had dark colored shoulder length hair which may have been a wig. The male suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured as a result of this incident and no weapon was shown or mentioned by the suspect.
