Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island closed out the March for Meals campaign on Monday, March 31, with the help of Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI). March for Meals, which is in its 12th year, is an annual campaign that celebrates Meals on Wheels programs nationwide and raises awareness of the need for nutrition assistance for seniors. To show his support for the program, Langevin delivered meals alongside Meals on Wheels of RI Executive Director Heather Amaral. Langevin and Amaral are pictured here with Rita Thorpe, who lives in Warwick.
