Mary “Mae” (Gelinas) Lineham

Mary “Mae” (Gelinas) Lineham joined her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Norman F. Lineham.

Born in Warwick to the late Leo J. and Elizabeth (Milligan) Gelinas, she grew up in ta small area near Mary’s Creek. She attended and completed her education at Lockwood High School. She worked as an assembler of rifle parts at Bostich during World War II, becoming part of the “Rosie the Riverter” workforce. She was very proud of her contribution to the war effort. She later worked at variousjobs, including the Royal Manor Nursing Home and General Fittings Manufacturers. Of the many different roles she fulfilled, being a mother and homemaker was her most rewarding. She was a woman dedicated to her family. Later in life she did volunteer work at Kent Hospital where she made many new friends. She enjoyed her work where she would brighten many people’s days until 2008.

She leaves behind her children: Sharron Horan, Barbara Nappa and William Lineham, all or Warwick; also 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves her longtime, loving companion, Edward Cavanaugh. She was predeceased by Daughter Ellen E. Hall, and sons Norman E. Lineham and Arthur L. Aronson; as well as two brothers, Arthur Leo and Edward William Gelinas, one sister, Catherine Thelma Murphy.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service held on September 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 35 Pierce St. East Greenwich. All are welcome to attend.
