Oak Lawn Community Baptist Church, 229 Wilbur Ave., Cranston, Home of the Original May Breakfast, will hold its 149th Annual May Breakfast April 30 from 6:30-11:30 a.m. The church’s May Breakfast was featured in the 2007 Edition of “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” by Patricia Schultz, as well as in the “Rituals of Spring” March/April 2011 Issue of Yankee Magazine. Traditional Menu includes clam cakes, scrambled eggs, ham, cornbread, coffee, juice and apple pie. Tickets are available at the door: $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. People will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visit the sales downstairs, including plants, handmade May baskets and homemade fudge. Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave., Warwick, is having its May Breakfast April 30 from 7-10 a.m. As one of the oldest statewide May Breakfasts, a unique feature of this celebrated event is “eggs cooked to order.” In addition, this extensive menu includes bacon, ham, homefries, baked beans, cereal, muffins, pies, juice, coffee, tea and milk. After breakfast, stroll through the diverse shoppes, offering fudge baskets and Mother’s Day gifts. Tickets will be sold at the door: adults $8, children 6-12 $4, children under 5 no cost. Greenwood Community Church, 805 Main Ave., Warwick, will be serving their annual May Breakfast April 30 from 7:30-11:30 a.m. The menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes, baked beans, assorted juices, cold cereals, home bake coffee cakes, muffins and breads, apple pie, coffee, tea and milk. Also available for purchase will be table centerpieces, children’s baskets and their famous “May Baskets” filled with homemade fudge, cookies and plants. No reservations are required and the hall is handicapped-accessible. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 children under 12, under 5 are free.

St. David’s on the Hill Episcopal Church, at 200 Meshanticut Valley Parkway in Cranston, is having a May Breakfast on May 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. All are welcome. Celebrate spring and enjoy a variety of delicious gourmet pancakes (including gluten free, made to order), scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon and beverages. For advance tickets costing $8 for adults and $4 for kids age 10 and under, call the church at 942-4368. You can also buy tickets at the door costing $9 for adults and $5 for kids age 10 and under. The First Congregational Church of Warwick, 715 Oakland Beach Ave., is having their annual All You Can Eat May Breakfast May 7 from 7-11 am.  Menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, baked beans, hash browns, toast, cereal, fruit cocktail, milk, juice, regular and decaf coffee and tea. Cost for adults is $8.50, children 12 and under is $4. Children 5 years and under are free.

Pawtuxet Baptist Church, 2157 Broad St., Cranston, is having their May Breakfast May 7 from 8 a.m.-12 noon, featuring ham, eggs, homemade sausage, johnnycakes, pastries, muffins, desserts, tea, coffee and juice. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children.

First Baptist Church, Corner of Peirce & Montrose Street, East Greenwich, is hosting its 46th annual May Breakfast to be held May 7 from 6:30-10 a.m. Enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, homefries, baked beans, jonnycakes, homemade muffins, yummy pies and coffee. Adults $8, children $4 (under 5 free). Homemade May Baskets filled with fudge or flowers will also be available to purchase. St. Benedict Church, 70 Transit St, Warwick, is hosting its annual May breakfast May 7 from 8-11 a.m. in the parish hall, which is handicapped accessible. Menu includes pancakes, ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, baked beans, muffins, toast, fruit, coffee, tea and orange juice. Tickets are $10 per person, $5 children under 10. Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 565 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, is having its May Breakfast May 7 from 7-10 a.m. featuring a menu of traditional Rhode Island johnnycakes, scrambled eggs, bake beans, ham, fruit pie, juice, coffee and tea. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children (8 and under are free). The church is handicap accessible. Also available will be beautiful handmade May baskets filled with delicious homemade cookies, fudge and candy.

Christ the King Parish Church Hall, 124 Legris Avenue (Route 117), West Warwick, is holding its May Breakfast May 15 7:30-11:30 a.m. Tickets are adults are $7, children 6-12 $4, children 5 and under are free. Menu includes fresh fruit cup, Texas french toast, scrambled eggs, ham, pork sausage, corned beef hash, beans, home fries, dessert, coffee, tea and juice. Join for great food and great company.
