Mayor Scott Avedisian and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung were among those attending a meet and greet and fundraiser last April 12 for Warwick City Councilman Steven Colantuono Matthew Miller, who played one of the disciples, handed out programs at the beginning of the service.
The event was held at the home of Councilman and Maya Colantuono in Gaspee Plateau.
More than 100 of Councilman Colantuono’s supporters, friends and neighbors attended the event that raised $1,000. Also in the crowd were Council President Donna Travis, Councilwoman Camille Vella-Wilkinson, State Representative Joseph McNamara, former State Representative Robert Flaherty, and Ward 1 Republican Committee Chairman Mark Russell.
Colantuono, a three-term member of the City Council, is an attorney in general practice. He has been the sponsor of most of Mayor Avedisian’s legislative package in the last six years. He is the Minority Leader on the Council and serves on every committee of the City Council.
