James McClure and Larry Bouthillier have joined the college community at the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT).

McClure, assistant professor of information technology, served as an adjunct faculty member before his promotion teaching game design. Prior to joining New England Tech, he served as a full-time video game developer for 14 years and managed teams for Playstation 2 and 3, Xbox and Gamecube. As an environment artist, McClure has worked on several projects for well-known game design/development companies including Sony Online Entertainment. In addition to his teaching at NEIT, McClure has also taught online courses through Westwood College.

McClure has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer and Video Imaging from Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, Calif. His software expertise includes Unreal Engine 3, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop & Premier, Zbrush, Alienbrain, Perforce, HAVOK, and MEL scripting.

Bouthillier joins New England Tech as the Director of Online Learning. His career includes 23 years at Harvard University in various roles related to distance education. Bouthillier’s positions at Harvard have included director of Digital Video Services at the University level as well as director of Educational Technology and Multimedia Development at Harvard Business School. In his role at the Harvard Business School, he founded, staffed and led a team responsible for the digital content, tools and platforms that directly supported teaching and learning. Bouthillier is now responsible for working with all NEIT departments to increase online programs and courses and to ensure quality services and support systems.

Bouthillier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Software Engineering from Harvard University.
