Michael J. Goslin, 58, formerly of Warwick, died November 22, at his home in Gap, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Janette (Rossiter) Goslin.

He was the son of James and Gertrude (Gauthier) Goslin, Jr. Michael was a graduate of St. Kevin School, where he was the starting catcher for the CYO Baseball team; Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, where he was the starting goalie on the varsity ice hockey team; and Bryant University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. He was recruited to play ice hockey for Elmira College in New York where his team won the division championship in its’ first year of existence. Goslin, a certified club manager, managed private country clubs throughout New England and Pennsylvania. Most recently he was an independent antiques dealer and owned and operated the Goose and Gander with his wife, Janette, in Pennsylvania. He also co-managed Cackleberry Kitchen, a restaurant near the shop.

Goslin, a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and Oakland Raiders, had an encyclopedic knowledge of sports and was a well-followed contributor to Red Sox fan sites, using the name “Gosfather”. He was devastated by the Boston Marathon Bombings and continually wore a Boston Strong ribbon in memory of the victims and he rejoiced at the recent Red Sox World Series Championship.

He is also survived by his daughter, Dr. Megan Goslin, her husband, Ryan Ott; and their son, Brandon Goslin Ott, of New Haven, Connecticut; his step-daughter, Heidi Wueste of Portland, Maine; his sister, JoAnn Goslin of Washington, DC, his brother, David Goslin, Chief WFD (Ret.) and his wife, Julie Goslin.

His funeral will be held Saturday, November 30, from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 p.m.
