Micheal F. Middendorf, 69, passed away peacefully January 2, 2014 at Saint Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Born in Covington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Wanda (Morris) Steffan. She had been a resident of Independence, Kty. for many years. A Bookkeeper for most of her life, she recently retired from Schwann Foodservice where she worked in quality control. She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading and taking care of her birds. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching the Cincinnati Bengals. She was also a member of the Mooseheart Lodge in Independence, KY. She enjoyed visiting with her family in Rhode Island.
She was the beloved mother of Cheryl-Kae Short and her husband, T-Jay of Warwick, R.I. The grandmother of Jacqueline Toole and Haylee Short both from Warwick, Crystal Smith of Central Falls and CJ Jones of Kentucky. She also leaves five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three of her children, Jacqueline, DeWayne and Micheal-Rae; two sisters, Barbara Fletcher and Molly Manning who will all be greeting her in heaven. She will be greatly missed by her friend and ex-husband Leo Middendorf from Independence, KY and her best friend Sue McNabb of Covington, KY.
