Muriel Anne (Guillette) Hobin, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017 at her home in Narragansett. She was surrounded by her loving children.

Born in Attleboro, MA on May 4, 1929 to the late Louis and Rosella (Farrell) Guillette, she graduated from Attleboro High School and Sturdy Memorial School of Nursing. She married the late John M. Hobin in 1955 and raised her family in Warwick. Muriel lived a life of service to others. She was a gifted nurse who cared deeply for her patients and their families. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and a second mother to many others who sought out her love and guidance. Her home and her heart were always open. Her warmth, kindness and unconditional acceptance of others were her cornerstones for living life. To know her was to love her.

Muriel is survived by her children; John and his fianceé, Penny Robinson of North Kingstown, Anne McGintee and her husband, Jack of Windham, ME, Thomas of North Kingstown, and Mary Seely and her husband, Patrick of Delmar, NY. Her loving grandchildren include; Hannah, Jennifer, Elza, Christopher, Ailey, Meghan, Sean, Kathryn, Caroline and great-grandson; Daniel. She is also survived by her siblings Dr. Helen Vassallo of Worcester, MA, Richard Guillette (Linda) of Franklin, MA and Ann Hart (John) of Narragansett, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Ruth Guillette, Dr. James Guillette, Virginia Gallogly, Dr. William Guillette and Robert Guillette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett, RI on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the church.
