Navy Band performs in celebration of Rhode Island Navy Week

Navy Band Northeast’s Pops Ensemble will celebrate Rhode Island Navy Week 2015 in concert May 27 at 7 p.m. at the University of Rhode Island Fine Arts Hall, 105 Upper College Rd., Kingston.  Later in the week, Rhode Island’s popular music group, Rhode Island Sound, will play at Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, on Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m., and Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, on Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m.

Navy Band Northeast’s Pops Ensemble is a concert band that performs a wide variety of musical styles including traditional band literature, popular standards and patriotic favorites.  Whether performing for an outdoor summer concert series or a holiday concert in December, the pops ensemble provides musical entertainment for audiences of all ages. Navy Band Northeast ensembles perform over 500 engagements annually, personifying the quality and professionalism of today’s Navy and instilling pride and patriotism during each and every performance.

Navy Band Northeast’s popular music group “Rhode Island Sound” performs throughout the Northeastern United States supporting military balls, public concerts and high school recruiting tours.  This group of talented musicians from across the country specializes in Top 40 hits and classic rock favorites by artists such as Paramore, Rihanna, Journey, Eminem, Michael Jackson and more.
