New branch manager

BankNewport president and CEO, Sandra J. Pattie recently announced the appointment of Joseph M. Bell to vice president and branch manager of the Bank’s North Kingstown office located at 1350 Ten Rod Road and new Quonset office located at 130 Gate Road at The Shops at Quonset Point. Bell joined BankNewport in 2005, most recently serving as assistant vice president and manager at the North Kingstown office. He is responsible for branch operations, business development and staff development. Bell earned a Bachelor of Science in communication studies from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston. He is a member of the board of directors of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, where he currently serves as secretary. He is a resident of Warwick.
