The Warwick PAL Junior PeeWee Patriots improved to 4-0 on Sunday with a 38-13 victory over the Coventry Rams. Coventry entered the game with a 2-1 record and a shutout on their resume but had no answer for the high powered Warwick offense, which scored on its first five possessions.
Running backs Ethan Laramee and Brett Babcock each scored two touchdowns. Running back Josh Reid and quarterback Zack Fraser each ran for a touchdown. The Warwick offensive line opened big holes with powerful blocking from Justin Dunning, Skyler Carter, and Rob Dibenedetto. Warwick scored on two long runs by Laramee to the left behind the blocking of Arthur Rotondo and Miguel Prout. The Warwick ground attack amassed over 320 yards.
Defensively Warwick’s Kamren Beaugh had his hand in two turnovers with a forced fumble and later a fumble recovery. D.J. Lawson and Dom Martin controlled the Ram offense with hard hitting tackles.
The Patriots will return to action this weekend with a road game against the Edgewood Eagles.
