Last weekend, the Warwick PAL youth wrestlers captured their fourth consecutive state wrestling title.
PAL finished the state tournament with 303 points and earned team titles in the Bantam, Intermediate and Novice divisions. PAL had 40 wrestlers place in the top four in their respective weight classes, en route to dominating the podium at states.
PAL’s 12 state champions included: Thomas Slater, Carnell Davis, Seth McGrew, Braydon Wilding, Sawyer VonFlatern, Robbie McGuirk, Trevor O’Connor, Matthew Santos, Aidan Zabbo, Cullen McGrew, Sean Gallagher and Dillon Swanson.
PAL’s 13 second-place finishers included: Robert Akroyd, Nick Lacombe, Tyler Hunter, Hayden Myers, Skylar Reid, Jessy Baez, Brady Burke, Tyler Keaney, Matt Maroney, Connor Widmer, Nate Reid, Alex Greeno and Kaleb Dyer.
PAL’s third-place finishers included: Mikhail Hulkow, Aidan Battey, Cameron Soares, Jason Csoszor and George Moulton.
PAL’s fourth-place finishers included: Ben LeClaire, Jack Sabatelli, Jared Sabatelli, Dylan Maddalena, Jordan Collins, Donovan Watts, Justyn Murphy, Lucian Spremullo, Gavin Cooney and David Varin.
