Recognizing how fortunate they were in 2011, Priority Management Group (PMG) of Pawtucket forwent its annual Christmas party. Instead, the company provided a festive holiday meal for more than 1,200 Rhode Islanders in need. In 2012, they served more than 1,800 and this year they hope to feed more than 2,000 this Saturday, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Rhode Island Convention Center. In addition to serving a free, nutritious holiday meal, PMG will provide free winter coats.

“Many Rhode Island families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads or put food on the table each night,” said Richard Santilli, CFO at Priority Management Group in a release. “Each year we have easily surpassed our goal; proving that the need is very real. With the help of hundreds of volunteers and local support, we want to expand our reach and feed 2,000.”

In addition to a full-course holiday meal, there will be holiday music, gift bags with toiletries, snacks, toys for children, a coffee station with free thermoses, cookies, a flu shot clinic and a blood pressure station administered by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
