Pastryland Bakery is growing into the newest hotspot in northern Rhode Island, Conti’s Café, a place to stop for a glass of wine and hot pizza, bruschetta, soup or a calzone. Owner Carlo Conti has brought a little piece of Italy back home to the Ocean State, a cantina complete with wooden casks filled with wines, including Sangiovese, Malbec and Shiraz, to name only a few. Both Carlo and his daughter Marisa want people to know now not only can you purchase your baked goods, but you can take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy a moment to recharge.
