People’s Credit Union has once again earned a 5-Star Superior rating. BauerFinancial, the nation’s premier bank and credit union rating firm, has been evaluating and rating financial institutions since 1983. A 5-Star Superior rating indicates that People’s Credit Union is one of the strongest credit unions in the nation, excelling in areas of capital, loan quality, profitability and more.

People’s Credit Union has earned Bauer’s 5-Star Superior rating, an indication of strength and security, for the most recent 93 consecutive quarters. That has earned People’s Credit Union the added title of “Sustained Superiority Credit Union.” Few than 10 percent of the nation’s credit unions can claim this title.

“At People’s Credit Union, we take pride in our commitment to the community, and our ability to offer products and services that meet each individual’s unique needs. Without the support of our great members and dedicated staff, we wouldn’t have had the benefit of receiving such a prestigious rating. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our loyal members and look forward to helping new members who choose to bank with People’s Credit Union,” Ellen Ford, People’s Credit Union and President said in a statement.

Headquartered in Rhode Island, People’s Credit Union serves members through six locations in Bristol, Middletown, Newport, North Kingstown, Port-smouth and Wakefield. People’s, a member-owned, state chartered, federally insured, community credit union established in 1922. Membership is open to all individuals.
