Yes, you can put that shot of Santa on Facebook or Tweet to all your friends and they would have it instantly.
But can you clip it out and stick it on the fridge? Will your neighbors see it? Or will you find it in the pages of the Warwick Beacon Christmas edition?
True, it may seem outdated in this age of social media that the Beacon is still taking pictures of kids with Santa, but that tradition is being carried on this Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Pilgrim Senior Center. He’ll stay to 11. Actually, Santa will arrive earlier for the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
There’s no charge for the photos with Santa that will appear in the Christmas week edition. If you would like breakfast, it’s $8 for adults and $5 for children. A call to the chamber at 732-1100 for reservations is recommended.
But you needn’t call for the pictures. Just come. Wait – and that may be tough for some – until Christmas week and you’ll see it in good old-fashioned print.
