The Pilgrim Senior Enrichment Center, located at 27 Pilgrim Parkway, offers educational, nutritional and recreational programs to folks 55 years of age and older. The center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All meals require a reservation; call 468-4076.

Tues., Dec. 24 Brunch at 10:30 a.m. and Center closes at noon

Wed., Dec. 25 Center closed

Tues., Dec. 31 Brunch 10:30 a.m. Center opened 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

No evening meal Dec. 24 and 31

Holiday Celebration: Please join us to celebrate the holidays Dec. 5, 1 p.m.. Entertainment will be provided by Tony Funches. This is one you don’t want to miss. Light refreshments will be served. Get your tickets at the welcome desk. Tickets are free but needed for entry. Please pick up your ticket by Dec. 3 so we know how many guests to prepare for. Thank you and happy holidays.

Warwick Symphony Orchestra at the Pilgrim Senior Center. Join us for this holiday concert Dec. 5, 7:30 p.m.. There is an $8 donation at the door. Half the proceeds benefit programs at the center.

Do You Have Questions? Housing? Heating assistance? SNAP? Medical insurance? Prescription assistance? Need help stretching the dollar? Call Alyson, our information specialist, at 468-4079 or stop by the Lobby and visit with her Dec. 4 and 18, 11 a.m.-12 noon concerning various assistance programs available.

Play Bingo at the center on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30.

‘FRIENDS’ Bingo Sunday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Cribbage League: This new group is looking for players. They meet every Friday at 1 p.m.

Name that Tune: Join Home Instead for their version of the popular 1960s Game Show “Name  That Tune” Wed., Dec. 11, 10:30 a.m. Contestants will be awarded points for knowing the song title, artist, and sometimes the next word or phrase of the lyrics. This is sure to be a lot of fun. Come check it out and enjoy an hour with friends. A small prize will be given to the winner.

CPR CLASS Buttonwoods Community Center: Did you know most SCAs (Sudden Cardiac Arrests) occur at home? Are you interested in learning CPR? Call Pat Seltzer RN at 468-4077 to register for this or any upcoming class Fri., Dec. 13, 1-5 p.m.

All in a Chord Women’s Barbershop Chorus will be providing holiday entertainment during lunch 12 noon on Tues., Dec. 17. Please sign-up for lunch this is sure to be a great performance (468-4076).

Veterans Assistance Program: If you are a U.S. veteran, you may be eligible for some benefits. Ron Plante from the Veterans Administration will be at the Center Wed., Dec. 18, 911:30 a.m., and if you would like to meet with him call Kim at 468-4500; appointments are necessary.

Paint on Wood: We have the paint & wooden objects. You have the talents to share. Donated wooden objects include boxes, ornaments, trays, etc. Finished items are donated to our annual Bazaar & Gift Shop. Share a morning using your creativity and socialize. No fee, Tuesdays from 9-11:30 a.m.

Chess: New players needed, willing to teach and / or brush up your game. If interested, just stop in. Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m.

Evening Classes: A schedule of our evening classes includes Zumba, yoga, quilting, Tai Chi and dance lessons. Schedules and registration forms are available at the Welcome Desk. Ages 18 years and older are welcome.

Intro to Bridge: Interested in learning how to play and/or freshen up on your skills? Ben is our volunteer who would like to teach you. Please come check it out if you are interested. This intro meets on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This class will not meet for the month of December.
