PERSON OF INTEREST

The Warwick Police Department is actively investigating the robbery of the Coastway Credit Union at 3830 Post Road in Warwick, which occurred on June 16. New information has led to the release of this photo (at right) taken from a nearby establishment, depicting an unknown man that detectives are seeking to identify. Police believe that this person may be a witness or may have been in the area just prior to the robbery. Anyone with information on the identity of this man is asked to contact Warwick detectives at 468-4233 or the anonymous TIP line at 732-8477 (732-TIPS).

FIREWORK

Officer Michael Walker responded to Primrose Drive at approximately 9:18 a.m. on June 23 for the report of a damaged mailbox. Upon arrival, Walker spoke with a woman, who said she checked her mail at about 4:30 p.m. on June 22, at which time the mailbox was in good condition. When she woke up at 9 that morning, she said the mailbox was all damaged and broken. Walker said he asked the woman and her husband if they heard any loud noises the previous night, to which they said at about 2:30 a.m. they did hear a loud firework go off. Walker said it appears the sound of the loud firework going off was in fact a firework that was placed in the mailbox. The woman said she does wish to press charges if someone is found to be responsible for the vandalism.

DECORATIONS DISAPPEARED

Officer Manuel Pacheco was dispatched to Asylum Road at approximately 5:10 p.m. on June 26 for the report of a larceny. Dispatch advised that lawn decorations were taken from the yard. Upon arrival, Pacheco met with the reporting party, who said on June 23, she noticed her black and white solar powered lighthouse lawn ornament was missing from her front yard. She said she last saw the lighthouse the day prior. She also told Pacheco her daughter recently noticed damage to her vehicle, which is regularly parked in front of her house. She said the vehicle damage occurred sometime over the last three months, but wished to have the incident documented. The case was forwarded to detectives. No suspects.
