Popular spring events returning at Roger Williams Park Zoo

Roger Williams Park Zoo offers two fun experiences to start off your family’s spring fun.

The annual Egg Hunt Safari will take place on Sunday, April 13, and the popular visits with the Easter Bunny will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, and Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19.

Celebrate the season with an “egg-citing” event at the zoo’s annual Egg Hunt Safari, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will each receive a Scavenger Hunt card with clues to help them find six egg stations throughout the zoo. After children collect an egg at each station, they will exchange their six eggs at a redemption station for a prize. Parents should note that the last scavenger hunt card will be handed out at 2:30 p.m., with the egg stations closing at 3 p.m. After completing the scavenger hunt, guests should feel free to enjoy the rest of the fun spring activities set up throughout the zoo. The Egg Hunt Safari is free with zoo admission.

Visits with the Easter Bunny will be available from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the above listed dates. Zoo guests can make a fun craft and take their own picture with the Easter Bunny. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the main zoo entrance or near the entrance to the event. The price, in addition to zoo admission, is $10 for children ages 3-12, and $5 for toddlers ages 0-2; there is no additional charge for parents. For more information about this event, call 401-941-4998.

Roger Williams Park Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April through September, and closes at 4 p.m. in the off-season. Admission is $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for children ages 3-12 and $12.95 for ages 62 and up; children 2 and under and zoo members get in free. For more information about the zoo, visit www.rwpzoo.org.
