Raymond A. Norton, 89, passed away April 10, 2014 at home. He was the husband of the late M. Eleanor (O’Connor) Norton and fiancé of Madeleine Tougas.
He was a son of the late Lawrence and Ellen (Lavan) Norton. He was a retired office equipment technician. Mr. Norton was a World War II Army veteran.
Raymond was the beloved father of Maureen A. Blazjewski and her husband, Thomas, Robert G. Norton and his wife, Dianne, and Lawrence Norton and his wife, Mary-Ann; loving grandfather of Eileen Daly, Raissa Mosher, Elizabeth Daly, Joshua Daly, Janel Nagtegaal, David Norton, and Jennifer DaCosta; devoted great-grandfather of Alyssa, Emily, Benjamin, Christopher, Connor, Marisa, Andrew, Josie, Parker, Anna, Celia, Elle and Olivia; brother of John Norton, Eleanor Kane and the late Lawrence Norton, Catherine Myers, Helen Budz and Dorothy Olsen.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m.
