Reed holding financial aid workshop for collegebound students

Senator Jack Reed will hold a financial aid workshop for college-bound students and their families on Monday, November 23 at 6 p.m. at CCRI’s Knight Campus in Warwick.

This free 90-minute workshop will give students a better sense of the financial aid options available at the state and federal levels.

While financial aid can help reduce student loan debt, many families don’t realize what opportunities are available to them. Last year alone, over one million high school seniors who were eligible for financial aid did not apply for it, Reed said in a release.

“My goal is to ensure Rhode Islanders know their options and have a chance to ask experts questions, so they can achieve their educational goals in the most cost-effective way possible,” he said in a statement.
