Regina C. (Schwab) McCourt, 67, a licensed practical nurse and resident of Warwick for over 40 years, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Brian J. McCourt for 43 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Dr. William J. and Catherine (Reidy) Schwab. A graduate of Fatima Nursing School, Regina worked for West Bay Surgical. Regina loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was the loving mother of Sgt. Mark A. McCourt, NOPD (Maggie), and Lynn M. McCourt; sister of Catherine McKenna, Joseph Schwab, John Schwab, Mary Fraenkel, Robert Schwab, Margaret Schwab, Elizabeth Cavanagh, Christine Schwab-Boudreau, Anthony Schwab, and the late William Schwab. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. Internment in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.
