Renee (Howitt) Armitage, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at home in Warwick, RI. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Armitage in 2006.
She was born in Grange Moor, Yorkshire, England to the late George H. and Emma (Sykes) Howitt.
She is survived by one son, Robert “Howard” Armitage (his wife, Debbie) of Warwick, RI; one grandchild: Kirk Armitage; a step-grandchild: Sarah Kendra; and two great-grandchildren: Maddy and Ben Kendra.
Her visitation will be at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI on Saturday, January 23 from 1:00-1:30 P.M. immediately followed with a funeral service at 1:30 P.M.
The family would like to give special thanks to Marianne and Bill Murray who looked after Mrs. Armitage for nearly 10 years with the utmost compassion and care.
