Solarize Warwick will host a solar open house at the home of Antonio Ambrosio, 131 Alden Avenue, Warwick Neck, this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ambrosio’s 6.56 kW photovoltaic(PV) system was installed during the summer as part of the Solarize Warwick program. Ambrosio and representatives from Solar Flair, Warwick’s chosen solar installer, will be on hand to give a tour of the installation and answer questions. Warwick residents are eligible to sign up for a free, no-obligation site assessment before the September 29 program deadline.

 In a release Ambrosio said, “Having solar panels installed on our new home was a no-brainer. The federal and state financial incentives to install the panels and the potential of saving thousands of dollars in electric bills helped make this an easy decision. Besides the financial benefits, we feel proud to be doing something to protect our environment.” 

Solarize Warwick is based on a proven residential model that has worked successfully in more than 100 communities in Massachusetts, Vermont and Connecticut. It is designed to reduce the cost of solar and help homeowners and businesses make the leap to a cleaner energy alternative. The tiered pricing incentive, a unique part of the Solarize Warwick program, offers residents lower pricing as more people sign up.
