Robert L. Renehan, 98, of Crystal Drive, died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth A. Marsh, with whom he lived since his beloved wife, the late Mary R. (Curley) Renehan, died in 2000.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Leon and Ethel (Chapman) Renehan, he previously lived on Midgley Avenue in Warwick. As a 40 year member of Teamsters Local 251, he was a driver for 30 of those years for Yale Transport Corp. He also belonged to Local 251’s Retirees Chapter. He was an associate member of William Shields Post 43. For 40 years he was a member of the former Shawomet Baptist Church in Warwick. A loyal member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) he served as commander of Governors Elisha Dyer Camp No.7, Department of Rhode Island, in 1999.

In addition to his daughter, Elizabeth (whose husband is Joseph), he is survived by three sons: Thomas R. Renehan (wife, Carolyn) of Florida, William L. Renehan (wife, Linda) of Florida and Paul L. Renehan (wife, Terri) of Swansea, MA; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service Friday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Providence.
