Robert S. “Bob” Calore, Sr.

Robert S. “Bob” Calore, Sr., 65, of Warwick, formerly of Griswold, Connecticut, passed away on November 3, 2013 at home after enduring a battle with brain cancer for over a year. His strength and courage was remarkable. He was the beloved husband of Linda F. (Vigneau) Calore for 45 years.

Born in Providence, he was a devoted son of Angelina (Filuminia) Calore of Warwick and the late Guido Calore. A dedicated employee, Robert was a Project Manager for Petra Construction in Connecticut until his retirement in October of 2012. He was previously a Maintenance Manager for the New England area for Cumberland Farms. A Vietnam Veteran, he served as a Sergeant in The United States Air Force from 1968-72. He was a graduate of Central High School in Providence and Rhode Island College. He was a Soccer Coach for Warwick Boys & Girls Club and Warwick Firefighters and enjoyed traveling. Bob was the most loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved and adored his wife and family. He lived by the example he set.

He was the loving father of Robert S. “Bobby” Calore, Jr. of Warwick, Kevin J. Calore of Cranston and Kimberly Calore-Sedlak and her husband, Jan of New York, New York. Cherished grandfather of Kevin J. Ward of Middletown and Victoria and Julia Sedlak of New York, NY. Caring brother of Joseph Calore of Cranston.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
