The Toll Gate boys’ soccer team notched its first victory of the season with a 3-0 win over Woonsocket on Tuesday afternoon.

Daniel Lobato recorded two first-half goals and Logan Heberg added another for insurance in the second half. Goalkeeper Kyle Brown got credit for the shutout after he tallied nine saves.

Next up for the Titans (1-2) is a matchup with Mount Saint Charles (1-1-1) at the Bend Street Complex on Friday evening at 6 p.m.

Hawks edge Warriors

After a strong start to the season against Chariho, Hendricken’s Lucas Gesmundo continued his productive year in a 2-1 win over Central Falls on Tuesday.

The senior accounted for both Hendricken goals to push the Hawks out to 2-0 on the young campaign.

The Hawks will look to remain unblemished at home against Central (2-0) today at 6 p.m.

Pats sweep Mariners

The Pilgrim girls’ volleyball team is back above .500 after a sweep of Narragansett on the road Monday evening.

The Pats (2-1) took the first set, 25-13, before matching 25-14 victories in the second and third sets.

Pilgrim hosts Mt. Hope (2-0) today at 6:30 p.m. The Huskies have swept both opponents they have faced so far.

Lions shut out Pats

After a convincing 6-2 win over Exeter-West Greenwich, the Pilgrim girls’ soccer team couldn’t keep the momentum rolling.

Undefeated Lincoln scored four times in the first half to cruise to a 5-0 win over the Pats on Monday.

Pilgrim (1-2) has a non-league game against Bishop Feehan on Monday before getting back to league play against Bay View (0-3-1) on Tuesday.

Sentinels blank Titans

The Smithfield girls’ soccer team worked its way back to .500 after a 3-0 win over Toll Gate on Monday.

The Sentinels took advantage of the absence of Titans striker Hannah McNulty (concussion) and defender Karla Wolstenholme (illness) to notch the shutout win. Toll Gate goalkeeper Ani Armenakyan registered 11 saves.

The Titans take to the road today for a matchup with Portsmouth (2-2) at 7 p.m.
