Ruth M. (Norwood) Bennett, 85, passed away on February 22, 2015. Ruth was the beloved wife of Clyde D. Bennett for 63 years.
She was the daughter of the late A.E. and Evelyn (Murphy) Norwood. Ruth was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a communicant at St. Kevin Church all of her adult life.
Ruth was a loving, generous and caring mother of three children, Paula E. Bennett, Steven Bennett and his wife, Mary Beth, and Bruce Bennett and his wife, Rosemarie. She was the cherished grandmother of eleven; and the great-grandmother of three. She was the sister of the late Eugene Norwood.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 9:15 a.m. from the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
